I first discovered the blogging world back in 2009. I was researching the concept of “couponing” and found several blogs to follow on the topic. I enjoyed it so much and found it so helpful that I started my own blog – thecouponbasics.blogspot.com. I blogged for a few years about frugal living, great deals, & finances. I loved the blogging world and internet marketing, but I decided that I was not passionate enough about couponing and it took too much time. My second son was born, my husband started veterinary school, I continued working from home as a structural drafter – and my blogging days came to an end.
I continued to follow several blogs. Though I have never met these amazing women, they have made a HUGE impact on my life. They have uplifted me in my darkest hours. They have encouraged me to be better, to do my best, and to live life with more intention. During the long, exhausting days of supporting my husband through veterinary school– the blog posts & Instagram shares uplifted and motivated me.
I wanted to share that with others. I wanted to pass on my experiences – and hopefully encourage and uplift someone else.
I slowly built this website. I wrote dozens of posts before I decided on a name. Thoughts about life – raising kids, finding gratitude, and feelings of inadequacy. I am not amazing, nor have I done anything extraordinary, but I believe everyone has a story to share. Each of us have unique experiences that can uplift & encourage others. Our honesty and transparency about our struggles and real life events can help other feel less alone. Life is hard, but life is also good. My life has been so deeply affected by the blogs I have followed through the years. My hope is that some of the simple things I share might impact someone else – and encourage them as I have been encouraged by others.
